Biography
Siddhu Jonnalagadda, born on February 7, 1992, in Hyderabad, Telangana, is an Indian actor, screenwriter, playback singer, and editor, best known for his work in Telugu cinema. Hailing from a family with roots in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Siddhu completed his intermediate studies at Sri Chaitanya College, Tarnaka, and earned a B.Tech degree from Holy Mary Institute of Technology before venturing into films.
He made his acting debut with a supporting role in Josh (2009) and appeared in Orange (2010) before stepping into the lead with LBW: Life Before Wedding (2011), directed by Praveen Sattaru. Siddhu later made his Tamil debut with Vallinam (2014) and appeared in Ice Cream 2 the same year. His breakthrough came with Guntur Talkies (2016), which he also co-wrote, showcasing his flair for quirky, bold storytelling.
After a brief hiatus, Siddhu returned with Krishna and His Leela (2020), a romantic drama that earned him critical acclaim for his effortless performance. He followed it up with Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma (2020) and then struck gold with DJ Tillu (2022), a cult hit that cemented his “Star Boy” persona. He reprised the role in the blockbuster sequel Tillu Square (2024), further boosting his popularity.
Apart from acting, Siddhu has contributed as a writer for several of his films and lent his voice to songs like the Guntur Talkies title track. Known for his natural charm, comic timing, and ability to portray flawed yet relatable characters, he has carved a niche for himself in contemporary Telugu cinema.
