Biography

Soundarya Sharma is an Indian actress, model, and trained classical singer who has steadily carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry. Born on September 20, 1994, in Preet Vihar, East Delhi, she hails from a Brahmin family and holds a Bachelor of Dental Studies degree. Despite her academic background in dentistry, Soundarya’s passion for performance led her to pursue acting, with formal training from the National School of Drama and ACT 1 Theatre group. She also honed her craft internationally through workshops at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and the New York Film Academy.

She made her acting debut in 2017 with Ranchi Diaries, a romantic drama produced by Anupam Kher. Her performance as Gudiya earned her nominations for Best Female Debut at the Zee Cine Awards and Star Screen Awards, and she won the Best Debutante award at the Jharkhand International Film Festival. Over the years, she has appeared in films like Thank God and Housefull 5, where she played the role of Lucy in the 2025 installment of the popular comedy franchise.

Soundarya has also made her mark in the digital space with roles in web series such as Raktanchal 2Country Mafia, and Karm Yuddh. In 2022, she gained widespread recognition as a contestant on Bigg Boss 16, where she finished in 9th place.

Beyond acting, she has featured in several music videos and is known for her stylish persona, winning the Lokmat Most Stylish Diva Award in 2018. With a blend of talent, elegance, and determination, Soundarya Sharma continues to be a rising force in Indian cinema and digital entertainment.
