Narayana Swamy, known by his stage name Srinath, is an Indian actor and film producer who primarily works in Kannada cinema.
Born on December 28, 1944, in Mysore, India, Srinath has acted in over 350 films. His biggest hit was the cult movie Shubhamangala directed by Puttanna Kanagal. Srinath earned the nickname "Pranaya Raja," meaning 'King of Romance,' due to his success in romantic movies during the '70s.
He formed a popular on-screen pair with top actress Manjula, starring together in a record 35 films during the '70s and '80s. Besides acting, Srinath has also produced films and hosted the game show Adarsha Dampatigalu on Udaya TV. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Kalaratna Award from the Government of Karnataka in 2003,
