Viji Chandrasekhar is a renowned Indian actress known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films and television. Born on December 2, 1966, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, she is the younger sister of actress Saritha. Viji made her debut in 1981 with the Tamil film Thillu Mullu, where she played Rajinikanth’s sister, directed by K. Balachander.
Despite the success of her debut, she initially prioritized her education before returning to acting in the 1990s. Over the years, she has appeared in numerous films, including Paarthale Paravasam (2001), Aaytha Ezhuthu (2004), and Aarohanam (2012), where she played a bipolar vegetable vendor, earning critical acclaim.
