Biography
Vikram Prabhu is a prominent Indian actor known for his work in Tamil cinema and for carrying forward the illustrious legacy of the Ganesan family. Born on January 15, 1986, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, he is the son of veteran actor Prabhu Ganesan and the grandson of the legendary Sivaji Ganesan, one of Indian cinema’s most revered icons.
Before stepping into the limelight, Vikram pursued an MBA from San Diego State University in the United States. Upon returning to India, he gained hands-on experience in filmmaking by assisting with his family’s production house, Sivaji Productions. His acting debut came in 2012 with Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki, a film centered around elephants. The movie was both a critical and commercial success, earning Vikram several accolades including the Vijay Award and SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actor.
Over the years, Vikram has showcased his versatility through a range of roles in films like Ivan Veramathiri, Arima Nambi, Sigaram Thodu, and Taanakkaran.
