Biography

Vineeth Sreenivasan is a multi-talented figure in Malayalam cinema, known for his versatility as a playback singer, actor, director, producer, lyricist, and screenwriter.

Born on 1 October 1984 in Thalassery, Kannur, Kerala, Vineeth is the eldest son of renowned Malayalam actor and screenwriter Sreenivasan and Vimala. His younger brother, Dhyan Sreenivasan, is also an actor, making cinema a strong family tradition. Vineeth completed his schooling at Rani Jai Higher Secondary School in Nirmalagiri and later pursued a Mechanical Engineering degree at KCG College of Technology in Chennai.

He began his career as a playback singer in 2002, quickly gaining recognition for his melodious voice. Over time, he expanded his creative pursuits into acting and filmmaking. His directorial debut, Malarvadi Arts Club (2010), was followed by successful films like Thattathin Marayathu (2012), Thira (2013), Jacobinte Swargarajyam (2016), and Hridayam (2022), which showcased his storytelling finesse. Vineeth is admired for blending youthful themes with emotional depth, often resonating strongly with audiences.

On the personal front, Vineeth married Divya Narayanan in 2012, and the couple has two children. Beyond cinema, he has also contributed as a lyricist and dubbing artist, further cementing his reputation as one of the most versatile talents in the Malayalam film industry.
