Biography
Zakir Hussain is an Indian actor known for his compelling performances in Hindi films and television. Born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, he developed an early interest in acting and pursued his passion by joining the National School of Drama (NSD), graduating in 1993. His journey in the entertainment industry began with theater, followed by roles in television serials like Firdaus, Kitty Party, and Gaatha, which helped him gain recognition.
Hussain made his Bollywood debut in 2004 with Ek Hasina Thi, where his performance caught the attention of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma. He later played the menacing Rashid in Sarkar (2005), a role that earned him widespread acclaim. His portrayal of Shardul in Johnny Gaddaar (2007) further cemented his reputation as a versatile actor. Over the years, he has been featured in numerous films, including Singham Returns, Phoonk, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, and Bad Luck Govind, often playing negative and comic roles.
