Zanai Bhosle

Biography
Zanai Bhosle is a multifaceted Indian singer, musician, and entrepreneur, best known as the granddaughter of legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle. Born on January 16, 2002, in Mumbai, Zanai grew up immersed in a rich musical legacy. Her early exposure to Indian classical music, combined with training in Western opera, laid a strong foundation for her artistic journey.
Zanai’s career began with a bold and inclusive step—collaborating with India’s first transgender music band, 6 Pack, supported by Yash Raj Films. Their debut song, Hil Pori Hila, was a reimagining of Usha Mangeshkar’s 1973 classic, performed using unconventional instruments like buckets, bottles, and tea packs. The project aimed to promote equality and dignity for marginalized communities, reflecting Zanai’s progressive outlook.
Beyond music, Zanai has also ventured into entrepreneurship. In 2017, she partnered with Apple to launch iAzure, a premium reseller store in Mumbai. Her business acumen, combined with her artistic sensibilities, showcases a rare blend of tradition and modernity.
Zanai is also a trained classical dancer and martial artist, and she performed in Birmingham, UK, in 2016. She completed her schooling at Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland, one of the world’s most prestigious boarding schools.
Despite her young age, Zanai has already carved a niche for herself, not just as Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter, but as a promising artist and changemaker in her own right. With a growing social media presence and a commitment to meaningful art, she continues to carry forward her family’s musical legacy while forging her own unique path.
