Apple has officially announced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max for the Indian market, with both premium smartphones set to go on sale from September 18, 2026. Pre-orders in India will begin on September 12 at 5:30 PM IST, according to Apple’s official India website.
The latest Pro models bring upgrades across performance, cameras, battery life and artificial intelligence, making them among Apple's most advanced smartphones to date.
iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max India Price
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900 for the 256GB variant, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900. Both models are available with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. The highest-end iPhone 18 Pro Max 2TB variant is priced at ₹3,29,900 in India.
The smartphones are offered in Black, Silver, Glacier and the new Burgundy finish.
iPhone 18 Pro Series: Key Features
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are powered by Apple's new A20 Pro chip, designed to deliver improved performance and sustained processing. Apple has also introduced a next-generation vapor chamber thermal management system to improve sustained performance during demanding tasks.
The camera system receives a major upgrade with a 48MP Fusion Main camera featuring variable aperture. Apple says the new system gives users greater control over photography, while the Pro models also receive enhanced video and computational photography capabilities.
The iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch display. Both use Super Retina XDR OLED displays with ProMotion and Always-On functionality.
Battery and AI Features
Apple has also focused heavily on battery performance. The company says the iPhone 18 Pro can provide up to 36 hours of video playback, while the Pro Max can reach up to 45 hours on eSIM-only models.
Both smartphones run iOS 27 and introduce Apple's next-generation Apple Intelligence features and Siri AI. The updated Siri is designed to provide more personalised and conversational assistance using contextual information from supported apps and content.
iPhone 18 Pro India Availability
Indian customers can pre-order the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max from September 12, with sales beginning September 18, 2026. India is among the first group of countries receiving the new Pro models.
With upgraded cameras, the A20 Pro chip, improved battery life and new AI capabilities, the iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to attract Apple's premium smartphone buyers in India.
