Dhadak 2 is an upcoming Hindi-language romantic drama directed by Shazia Iqbal and written by Rahul Badwelkar. Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Umesh Bansal, Meenu Arora, and Adar Poonawalla under Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, the film is set to release in theatres on August 1, 2025.

 Story & Themes A spiritual sequel to Dhadak (2018), this film is a remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. It explores themes of caste, identity, love, and resistance, set against a backdrop of social inequality. The tagline, “Marne aur ladne mein se ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna” (“If you have to choose between dying and fighting, choose to fight”), hints at the film’s emotional and political intensity.

Music & Visuals The music is composed by Shreyas Puranik, with lyrics by Siddharth–Garima. Cinematography is by Sylvester Fonseca, and editing by Charu Shree Roy, Omkar Uttam Sakpal, and Sangeeth Varghese.
