According to recent reports, Apoorva has enrolled in an MBA programme at New York University’s Stern School of Business. Her move to New York comes after she decided to step away, at least partially, from the constant pressure of being a full-time content creator and focus on education, new experiences and her future business ambitions.

Why Did Apoorva Choose New York?

Apoorva explained that living in New York had been a long-standing dream. Speaking on the podcast Untriggered By AminJaz, she said that after travelling to several places, New York stood out to her because of its fast-paced lifestyle, fashion, food and architecture. She also mentioned that she had grown up seeing the city in films and web series and had always wanted to experience life there.

Interestingly, Apoorva revealed that she applied to only one college in New York and ultimately received admission. She has now moved into a dorm and is preparing to return to student life while pursuing her MBA.

From Content Creator to Business Aspirations

The decision is not simply about getting another degree. Apoorva has indicated that she does not want to remain a content creator throughout her entire career. She has expressed an interest in entering the business world and hopes that her MBA experience will help her develop those ambitions.

She has also spoken about wanting to meet people outside the creator community. After spending years surrounded by social-media personalities and working within the digital-content ecosystem, she sees college as an opportunity to build relationships with people from completely different backgrounds.

The move also reflects a desire to rediscover herself away from her online identity. In an interview, Apoorva said she sometimes felt she had forgotten who she was when she was not being “The Rebel Kid.” She described the constant need to remain relevant, reinvent herself and maintain an online persona as one of the pressures behind her decision to spend time abroad.

Will Apoorva Continue Creating Content?

Despite moving to New York, Apoorva does not appear to be completely leaving social media behind. She has indicated that she plans to continue creating content from New York, although her approach could change. She may experiment with different formats and become less consistent with the storytime-style content that helped make her popular.

Her move therefore represents less of a complete exit from the digital world and more of a career transition. With an MBA, international exposure and plans to eventually explore business opportunities, Apoorva appears to be preparing for a future beyond influencer culture.

For now, her New York journey marks a significant change for the 25-year-old creator. From viral social-media content to reality television and now business education at NYU Stern, Apoorva Mukhija is entering a new phase that could reshape both her personal and professional identity.
