
Passenger Ramesh Vishwaskumar, seated in 11A, miraculously survived the Air India Flight AI171 crash near Ahmedabad. According to reports, he managed to escape the wreckage despite suffering chest, eye, and foot injuries. Vishwaskumar was immediately rushed to Civil Hospital, Asarwa, where he is receiving medical treatment.
Ahmedabad Police Commissioner G.S. Malik confirmed Vishwaskumar’s survival, stating that he was found alive amidst the wreckage. The crash, which occurred minutes after takeoff, resulted in over 200 fatalities, making his escape an extraordinary event. Vishwaskumar recounted the terrifying moments, saying, "Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise, and then the plane crashed. It all happened so fast. When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. Someone grabbed me and put me in an ambulance."
Authorities are investigating how Vishwaskumar survived the impact, with speculation that he may have exited through an emergency exit or a broken section of the aircraft. His survival has become a focal point in the ongoing investigation, as officials work to determine the cause of the crash and ensure safety measures for future flights
