Idly Kadai is an upcoming Tamil-language drama film written, directed, and co-produced by Dhanush under Wunderbar Films in collaboration with Dawn Pictures. The film stars Dhanush and Nithya Menen in lead roles, alongside Arun Vijay, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, P. Samuthirakani, Rajkiran, and Shalini Pandey.

The movie revolves around themes of resilience, relationships, and personal transformation, set against the backdrop of an idli shop. While the plot details remain under wraps, the film promises a compelling narrative with strong performances and engaging storytelling.

The production was officially announced in September 2024 under the tentative titles D52 and DD4, marking Dhanush’s 52nd film as an actor and fourth as a director. Principal photography began the same month, primarily in Chennai, with additional shoots in Thailand, wrapping up by April 2025.

The film features music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Kiran Koushik, and editing by Prasanna GK. Initially slated for April 10, 2025, the release was postponed, and it is now scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on October 1, 2025
