Royal Enfield has expanded its popular Classic 350 range with the launch of the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition, a special motorcycle created as a tribute to the courage, discipline and resilience associated with the legendary Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army. The new edition was launched in India on August 18, 2026, with an ex-showroom New Delhi price of ₹2,10,684, while bookings are now open.

The Classic 350 Gorkha Edition retains the familiar retro styling that has made the motorcycle one of Royal Enfield's most recognisable models. However, it receives a distinctive Gorkha Green paint scheme that gives the bike a military-inspired appearance. The motorcycle also features a bespoke insignia depicting the iconic crossed Khukris, a design element closely associated with the Gorkha Regiment.

Inspired by the Gorkha Regiment

The special edition has been introduced as a mark of honour and admiration for generations of Gorkha soldiers. Royal Enfield has used the motorcycle's design to reflect qualities such as bravery, discipline and resilience. The Gorkha-inspired treatment gives the Classic 350 a distinct identity while preserving its traditional silhouette.

Alongside the motorcycle, Royal Enfield has also introduced a dedicated Gorkha Collection featuring riding gear and lifestyle merchandise. The collection includes helmets, leather boots, headgear, apparel and collectibles carrying design cues inspired by military and regimental traditions.

Engine and Performance

Mechanically, the Gorkha Edition remains largely unchanged from the existing Classic 350. It is powered by the familiar 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder J-series engine, producing around 20.1 bhp and 27 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a five-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle also comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch, designed to make gear changes smoother and reduce clutch effort. A Type-C USB fast-charging port has also been added for greater convenience during everyday riding and longer journeys.

Price and Availability

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition is priced at ₹2,10,684 ex-showroom in New Delhi, with some reports rounding the figure to ₹2.11 lakh. Bookings have commenced, and buyers can approach Royal Enfield dealerships for availability and test-ride details.

The Gorkha Edition is primarily a design-focused special edition rather than a major mechanical upgrade. Nevertheless, its exclusive green finish, crossed-Khukri insignia and military-inspired character make it a distinctive addition to the Classic 350 family. For Royal Enfield enthusiasts looking for a motorcycle with a strong connection to India's military heritage, the new Gorkha Edition offers a combination of classic styling, modern convenience and symbolic significance.
