Harsh Mayar
Biography
Harsh Mayar is an award-winning Indian actor best known for his breakthrough performance in the film I Am Kalam (2011), which earned him the National Film Award for Best Child Artist.
Born on 22 March 1998 in India, Harsh began his acting journey at the age of eight. With the support of his uncle, he joined the Shri Ram Center in Delhi for acting classes, as his parents could not afford the fees. He initially performed in stage plays and went through nearly 180 auditions before landing his first major role. Though he was initially selected for Chillar Party, an injury kept him from participating, but soon after he was cast in I Am Kalam, directed by Nila Madhab Panda. His portrayal of Chhotu (Kalam) alongside veteran actor Gulshan Grover won him international acclaim, including awards at the Silent River Film Festival in California and the Minsk International Film Festival.
Since then, Harsh has expanded his career into television and web series, appearing in shows like Gumrah: End of Innocence (2014), Abhay (2019), and the critically acclaimed Gullak (2019–present), where he plays Aman Mishra, a role that has made him a household name in Indian streaming entertainment. Married to Sukanya Rajan Mayar, Harsh continues to balance mainstream cinema with independent projects, admired for his natural performances and ability to bring authenticity to every character he portrays.
