Biography
Lalit Prabhakar is an acclaimed Indian actor predominantly working in the Marathi film, television, and theatre industry.
Born on 12 September 1987 in Kalyan, Maharashtra, Lalit began his career in theatre before moving to television, where he gained immense popularity for his role as Aditya Desai in the hit daily soap Julun Yeti Reshimgathi. His film debut as a lead actor came with Chi Va Chi Sau Ka (2017), which showcased his versatility and earned him critical acclaim. Lalit has also starred in notable films like Anandi Gopal (2019), where he portrayed the progressive husband of India’s first female doctor, and won several awards including Maharashtra’s Favorite Actor Award. Apart from acting, he has directed experimental plays, such as Aswastha Samudravar Bail Melay, reflecting his deep roots in theatre.
Beyond cinema, Lalit is admired for his intellectual pursuits—he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, has a passion for sketching and painting, and was a recipient of the Young Artist Scholarship by the Ministry of Culture.
