Facts

He was born on 12 September 1987 in Kalyan, Maharashtra, and holds a degree in Computer Science.

Lalit began his career in theatre before moving into television and films, which gave him a strong foundation in acting.

His breakthrough role came as Aditya Desai in the Marathi TV serial Julun Yeti Reshimgathi, which made him a household name.

He made his film debut as a lead actor in Chi Va Chi Sau Ka (2017), which was both critically and commercially successful.

Lalit is also a theatre director and has worked on experimental plays such as Aswastha Samudravar Bail Melay.

He received the Young Artist Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, for his contributions to theatre.

Apart from acting, he has a passion for sketching and painting, reflecting his artistic versatility.

He won the Maharashtra’s Favorite Actor Award for his role in Anandi Gopal (2019), where he played Gopalrao Joshi, the progressive husband of India’s first female doctor.
