Sunil Kumar, better known by his stage name Narain, is a prominent Indian actor who has built a successful career across Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu cinema. Born on October 7, 1979, in Kolkata, West Bengal, Narain pursued his education in Thrissur, Kerala, before stepping into films. He made his debut with Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s Nizhalkuthu (2002), but it was the youth-centric thriller 4 the People (2004) that gave him widespread recognition. Over the years, Narain has showcased his versatility in acclaimed Malayalam films such as Achuvinte Amma (2005) and Classmates (2006), while also making a strong mark in Tamil cinema with Chithiram Pesuthadi (2006). His ability to portray both intense and emotional roles has earned him respect as a dependable performer. Beyond his professional life, Narain married television host and singer Manju Haridas in 2007, and the couple has two children.
