Ranjith Balakrishnan, also known as Ranjith, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and lyricist who works in Malayalam cinema. He was born on September 5, 1964 in Balussery, Kerala and graduated from the School of Drama and Fine Arts in Thrissur in 1985. He has worked on over 60 movies, including Njaan, Devaasuram, Ravanaprabhu, Nandanam, and Pranchiyettan and the Saint.

Ranjith is married to Sreeja Balakrishnan and they have two children, Agnivesh and Ashutosh.
