Rishab Shetty’s birth name is Prashanth Shetty, but he adopted “Rishab” as his professional name.

Before entering films, he studied commerce at Vijaya College in Bengaluru and later pursued a diploma in film direction at the Government Film and Television Institute.

His acting debut was in Tuglak (2012), but he gained recognition with Ulidavaru Kandante (2014).

He made his directorial debut with Ricky (2016), but it was Kirik Party (2016) that became a massive success and won him Filmfare and SIIMA awards for Best Director.
