Biography

Rishabh Sawhney is an Indian actor and former fashion model who gained recognition for his antagonist role in the Bollywood action film Fighter (2024).

Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Sawhney pursued a B.Tech in Civil Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology before transitioning into the entertainment industry. He began his career as a fashion model and later entered acting with his debut in the historical web series The Empire (2021), where he portrayed Mehmood, the brother of Babur. Interestingly, he also worked behind the scenes as a casting assistant on The Empire and later contributed to projects like Kaun Banegi Shikharwati and Bestseller, showcasing his versatility in both on-screen and off-screen roles.

His breakthrough came with Fighter (2024), directed by Siddharth Anand, where he played Azhar Akhtar, a formidable antagonist opposite Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor. Known for his striking moss-green eyes and commanding presence, Sawhney has quickly established himself as one of Bollywood’s promising new talents. With his mix of modeling background, technical education, and acting experience, he represents a new generation of actors who bring diverse skills and perspectives to Indian cinema.
