Tarsem Singh Jassar was born on July 4, 1986, in Jassar village, Ludhiana district, Punjab.
Before becoming a singer, he started his career as a lyricist, writing songs for the album Vehli Janta in 2012.
He co-founded Vehli Janta Records in 2013 along with fellow artist Kulbir Jhinjer, which became a platform for independent Punjabi music.
His debut song as a singer was Attwadi, which marked his entry into the Punjabi music industry.
Tarsem gained massive popularity with the track Galwakdi (2016), which became a turning point in his singing career.
He made his acting debut with the film Rabb Da Radio (2017), which won critical acclaim and established him as a serious actor.
Apart from singing and acting, he is also a rapper, songwriter, and producer, making him one of the most versatile artists in Punjabi entertainment.
He studied at Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib, where he pursued higher education before entering the entertainment industry.
