Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has reportedly tested positive for H1N1 influenza, commonly known as swine flu, after falling ill following a work trip to Ranchi. According to a report, the actor's test results came back positive on Friday, with doctors advising him to take adequate rest and recover.
Emraan Hashmi has not officially confirmed the reported H1N1 diagnosis at the time of writing. However, the actor recently informed fans that he was unwell, leading to the postponement of his upcoming Bengaluru appearance.
Bengaluru Show Postponed
Emraan was scheduled to appear at an event in Bengaluru, but the actor announced that the show would not take place as originally planned because of his health.
In a statement shared with fans, Emraan said he was “really unwell” and confirmed that the Bengaluru event had been postponed.
The event has now been rescheduled for September 12 at Sunburn Union in Bengaluru. Fans who have already purchased tickets will not need to buy new ones, as the existing tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date.

The reported diagnosis comes after Emraan fell ill following his professional trip to Ranchi. His test results reportedly confirmed H1N1 influenza, after which doctors advised him to rest.
H1N1 influenza is a strain of influenza A virus that can cause symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, fatigue and other flu-like symptoms. Most people recover with appropriate care and rest, although the severity can vary from person to person.
