Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has once again found herself at the centre of pregnancy speculation after a recent video of the actress went viral on social media. However, her sister-in-law Saba Pataudi has now dismissed the rumours and urged people to stop making assumptions about a person's private life.
The speculation began after a video showed Kareena leaving what appeared to be a gym session. Some social media users interpreted her appearance as a possible baby bump and began wondering whether Kareena and husband Saif Ali Khan were expecting their third child.
Saba Pataudi reacted to the viral clip through her Instagram Story. Describing the speculation as the result of an unflattering camera angle, she pointed out that Kareena had recently been photographed looking slim and stylish at the airport and was simply seen coming out of a gym in the latest video.
Saba Pataudi Urges Fans to Respect Privacy
Saba's response was direct but also light-hearted. She wrote that a “bad angle” or “bad hair day” should not lead people to make extreme assumptions about someone's personal life.
She also joked about her sister Soha Ali Khan, saying that she had been trying to convince Soha to have a second child and jokingly wished those rumours were actually true. Saba then ended her message with an appeal for privacy: “Live and let live guys. Some things are left private. No speculation needed.”
Her comments quickly attracted attention because they came amid growing social-media discussion about Kareena's alleged pregnancy.
Kareena Kapoor Is Not Pregnant
Kareena's team has also reportedly denied the pregnancy speculation. A source close to the actor told Hindustan Times that Kareena is not pregnant and that the reports are untrue.
Kareena and Saif are already parents to two sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan (Jeh). The couple married in 2012 and have frequently faced intense public attention surrounding their family life.
This is also not the first time Kareena has faced similar speculation. In 2022, pregnancy rumours circulated after photographs from a family holiday appeared online. Kareena responded at the time with humour and denied that she was expecting another child.
Saba's Message Sparks Discussion
Saba's latest statement has also renewed discussion about the pressure celebrities face when paparazzi photographs and short social-media clips are interpreted without context. A person's appearance can change depending on clothing, posture, camera angle or simply the moment at which a photograph is taken.
Rather than allowing speculation to continue, Saba chose to address the rumours directly while emphasising that certain aspects of a celebrity's life should remain private.
For now, both Saba's statement and Kareena's team's clarification indicate that the pregnancy rumours are false. The incident once again highlights how quickly unverified celebrity speculation can spread online.
