Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic marks Yash’s return to the big screen after the phenomenal success of KGF: Chapter 2. The film has generated huge anticipation because of its dark visual style, action-packed promotional material and large ensemble cast featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.

Advance Bookings Open

The makers have officially opened bookings ahead of the August 26 release. The response has been particularly strong, with Toxic crossing one million interests on BookMyShow even before nationwide advance sales began.

The film is also targeting a massive worldwide theatrical release of more than 12,000 screens, making it one of the largest global releases for an Indian film.

Recent trade reports indicate that the advance booking momentum has been impressive, with Karnataka emerging as one of the strongest markets for the Yash-starrer. International markets, including the United States, are also showing encouraging interest ahead of the premiere.

Yash Returns as Raya

Yash plays Raya, a character at the centre of the film's period gangster narrative. Toxic is set against a bygone-era backdrop and promises a combination of crime, action, drama and morally complex characters.

The film has also received an A certificate in India, indicating that it is intended for adult audiences. Its mature themes and intense action have become major talking points during the promotional campaign.

Massive Expectations at the Box Office

With the release now just four days away, expectations surrounding the opening weekend are extremely high. Yash's popularity following the KGF franchise, the film's huge production scale and its extensive worldwide release have created significant box-office curiosity.

The combination of advance-booking demand and the 12,000-plus-screen release could give Toxic a strong start. However, the final box-office performance will depend on audience reviews, occupancy and how well the film sustains after its opening weekend.

For now, the countdown has officially entered its final phase. Yash fans only have four more days to wait before Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups arrives on the big screen on August 26.
