Kabir recently revealed that he filmed an intense car-drowning sequence inside a 17-foot-deep pool, and remarkably, the scene was reportedly performed without relying on VFX.

Kabir Pahwa's Challenging Water Scene

Speaking about his experience, Kabir described the car-drowning sequence as his favourite scene from Toxic. The young actor revealed that he underwent continuous swimming training for four months to prepare for the demanding underwater shoot.

According to reports, Kabir actually performed the underwater portions rather than having the sequence completely created through visual effects. His mother also said that he filmed the drowning shots and scenes involving going deep into the water himself.

The revelation has impressed moviegoers, particularly because of Kabir's young age and the physical demands involved in shooting the sequence.

Yash Prioritised Kabir's Safety

Kabir has also spoken about working with Yash during the sequence. Reports quoting the young actor indicate that Yash was particularly concerned about his safety while filming the underwater scene.

The safety aspect was especially important given the depth of the pool and the complexity of filming inside a vehicle underwater. Kabir's months of swimming preparation helped him handle the demanding requirements of the scene.

Who Plays Young Ticket in Toxic?

Kabir Pahwa plays young Ticket, the child version of Yash's character in Toxic. Yash portrays the adult characters Raya and Ticket, while Kabir appears in the younger portions of the story.

The film also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi in important roles. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic released in theatres on August 26, 2026.

Kabir's performance has received attention alongside that of fellow child actor Krishiv Jindal, who portrays young Raya. His underwater sequence, in particular, has become one of the film's notable behind-the-scenes talking points.

For a nine-year-old actor, completing such a technically demanding sequence after months of preparation marks an impressive early experience in a major production
