Woman Dies, Man Critically Injured

According to police, the woman was a software engineer, while the man was also known to her. Both were originally from Puducherry and had reportedly been in a relationship for around six years.

The woman suffered fatal injuries in the fall and died, while the man survived but sustained critical injuries. He was rushed to a private hospital, where he remains under treatment, according to the latest police information.

The incident reportedly occurred at a residential/co-living accommodation in Whitefield, Bengaluru, on Sunday afternoon. Police have begun collecting information about what happened shortly before the fall.

Police Suspect Relationship Issues

Whitefield police said a possible rift between the two is among the primary angles being examined. However, authorities have not reached a final conclusion about what led to the incident.

Police Inspector Preetham Gowda said the investigation remains underway and that the exact circumstances will become clearer after statements from witnesses and other evidence are examined. The woman's body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and police are awaiting the medical findings.

Another report said investigators are also examining whether an emotional dispute between the couple preceded the incident. Police are yet to establish the complete sequence of events.

Investigation Underway

Authorities are expected to examine CCTV footage, statements from people at the building and other available evidence as part of the investigation. The injured man's condition may also become important to the probe if he is able to provide his account of what happened.

Police have registered an unnatural death case and are continuing their inquiry. At this stage, officials have described the relationship dispute as a possible angle rather than a confirmed motive.

The incident has once again drawn attention to the importance of timely emotional support during relationship conflicts and periods of severe distress.
