Milky Mist Dairy Food Ltd reported a sharp improvement in its financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, with standalone net profit surging more than 1,000% year-on-year to ₹64.5 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company had reported a net profit of ₹5.7 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The strong quarterly performance comes shortly after the company made its stock-market debut and reflects broad-based growth across its value-added dairy portfolio.
Revenue Rises 45%
Milky Mist's revenue from operations increased around 45% year-on-year to ₹973 crore in Q1FY27, compared with approximately ₹673 crore in Q1FY26. Other financial reports put the revenue at ₹973.45 crore, representing a 43.6% increase, with the small variation reflecting reporting and rounding differences.
The company attributed the growth to higher volumes, a stronger product mix, pricing ability and healthy demand across its product portfolio.
Its EBITDA increased to around ₹145 crore, up 74.5% from ₹83 crore a year earlier, while the EBITDA margin improved to approximately 14.9%.
Yogurt Sales Jump 153%
Among the company's different categories, yogurt emerged as the standout performer, with revenue increasing by an impressive 153% year-on-year.
Ice cream sales also recorded strong growth, rising 60%, while paneer revenue increased 34%. Cheese and curd sales grew 38% and 27%, respectively. The company said its summer-focused portfolio benefited from an extended summer season, particularly in southern India.
The broad-based growth indicates that Milky Mist is expanding beyond its traditional dairy categories and gaining traction in higher-value packaged food products.
New Cheese Plant Commissioned
Milky Mist also strengthened its manufacturing capabilities during the quarter by commissioning a new Cheddar cheese plant with an installed capacity of 120 tonnes per day. The investment is expected to support the company's expanding cheese business and increase its ability to serve growing demand.
The company operates an integrated supply chain covering milk procurement, processing, manufacturing, packaging and distribution, with its major manufacturing operations based in Perundurai, Erode, Tamil Nadu.
Management Outlook
K Rathnam, Whole-time Director and CEO of Milky Mist Dairy Food, said the company would focus on profitable growth during FY27 through portfolio expansion, operational discipline and investments in manufacturing and distribution.
The company also plans to expand its value-added food portfolio, strengthen its brands and distribution network and increase its presence across new and existing markets.
Milky Mist Share Price
Despite the strong quarterly numbers, Milky Mist shares ended lower on August 31. The stock closed at around ₹210.50, down approximately 1.8% from the previous session, according to Moneycontrol.
The Q1 results nevertheless mark a strong start to FY27, with rapidly growing yogurt, ice cream and other value-added categories helping drive both revenue and profitability.
