The deceased have been identified as Shivanna (50), his wife Nagarathna (45), and their daughter Rakshitha (21). According to police sources, the family is believed to have consumed poison at their residence in Halekempayyanahundi village, T Narasipura taluk.

Rakshitha’s wedding had been planned for the following day. However, reports suggest the family had been under severe emotional distress in the days leading up to the event. Preliminary investigations point to alleged harassment by Ullas Gowda, a resident of the same village.

Police sources claim Gowda had expressed interest in marrying Rakshitha. After her marriage was fixed with another man, he allegedly began making disparaging remarks and shared messages and photographs with her fiancé, in what investigators believe was an attempt to disrupt the alliance.

A death note recovered from the scene reportedly holds Gowda responsible for the deaths, though police have not yet confirmed its full contents. Officers from T Narasipura Police Station visited the site and registered a case.

Investigators are now examining the death note, digital evidence, and other circumstances surrounding the incident. The case has drawn widespread attention, highlighting the devastating impact of harassment and emotional distress on families.

Further investigation is underway as authorities work to establish the complete sequence of events and determine accountability.
