The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the UGC-NET June 2026 results for 84 subjects on August 28. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check their scorecards online through the official UGC-NET website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The NTA has also released the final answer key for the 84 subjects, following the completion of the answer-key challenge process.
UGC-NET June 2026 Result: 84 Subjects
The June 2026 UGC-NET examination was conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026, with a retest held on July 5. The examination was originally conducted across 87 subjects.
However, results for English, Commerce and Sociology have not been included in the current declaration. The NTA has announced that these three examinations will be conducted again on September 9 and 10, 2026, following complaints about factual, typographical, translation and grammatical errors in the question papers.
The results for the remaining 84 subjects have not been delayed because of the re-examination.

Candidates can follow these steps to check and download their UGC-NET June 2026 result:

Click on the UGC-NET June 2026 Result link.
Enter your application number and password/date of birth, as required on the login page.
Enter the security code or CAPTCHA.
Submit the details.
Your UGC-NET June 2026 scorecard will appear on the screen.
Download and save the scorecard for future reference.
Candidates should use only the official NTA website for downloading their results and other examination-related documents.
UGC-NET June 2026 Qualifying Marks
Candidates belonging to the General and General-EWS categories need to secure at least 40% aggregate marks across both papers. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, including OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD/PwBD categories, the minimum qualifying requirement is 35% aggregate marks.
However, merely securing the minimum marks does not automatically mean that a candidate qualifies for JRF or Assistant Professor eligibility. The final qualification depends on the applicable subject- and category-wise criteria.
What Is UGC-NET Used For?
The UGC-NET examination determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions and PhD admission in Indian universities and colleges, depending on the qualification category achieved by the candidate.
The NTA has also stated that e-certificates for the qualified candidates will be issued through the prescribed process.
Candidates who appeared for English, Commerce or Sociology should wait for the revised examination dates and subsequent result declaration.
