According to the latest available tracking, Toxic's Hindi 2D version has generated around ₹11.90 crore from more than 3.52 lakh tickets across over 11,000 shows. Hindi IMAX 2D and 4DX versions have added further revenue.
Earlier tracking had already put the Hindi advance collection above ₹11 crore, demonstrating how rapidly bookings accelerated during the final days before release.
Across India, Toxic has registered an even bigger response. The film's total India-tracked advance gross has now approached ₹62 crore, according to the latest NDTV Profit update.
Can Toxic Beat Tiger 3?
The big question is whether Yash's film can surpass the Hindi advance-booking benchmark set by Tiger 3.
The comparison is significant because Tiger 3 had one of the strongest pre-release booking campaigns for a Hindi action film. Toxic, however, is benefiting from Yash's massive KGF fanbase and the curiosity surrounding his first release after KGF: Chapter 2.
If the Hindi version maintains its momentum through the final hours, Toxic could potentially challenge the advance-booking numbers associated with major Hindi blockbusters.
Animal And Pathaan Remain Bigger Targets
Surpassing Animal and Pathaan would be a considerably bigger achievement.
Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, recorded one of the biggest opening days in Hindi cinema, while Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan created a massive theatrical event in 2023. Animal had the third-highest Hindi advance booking for 2023 at the time, behind Jawan and Pathaan.
Toxic is already showing impressive ticket demand, but whether it can overtake these films will depend on the final booking numbers and the average ticket price.
Yash Targets A Massive Opening
The strong Hindi response is particularly important because Toxic is primarily a Kannada film expanding into the pan-India market. The latest figures show that the Hindi version is now one of the film's strongest markets alongside Karnataka.
The film has already crossed ₹40 crore in advance bookings across India when blocked seats are included, with more than one million tickets reportedly booked before release.
Trade estimates are currently projecting a ₹100 crore-plus worldwide opening, although the actual figure will depend on occupancy, ticket prices and overseas performance.
With Toxic arriving in theatres on August 26, the final few hours of advance sales could determine whether Yash enters the record books in the Hindi market.
