Kannada superstar Yash visited Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala in Karnataka on Tuesday, August 25, a day before the worldwide release of his much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. The actor offered prayers and sought the blessings of Lord Manjunatha ahead of the film's theatrical debut.
Yash Visits Dharmasthala Before Toxic Release
Yash arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on a special flight from Chennai before travelling by road to Dharmasthala. He was accompanied by Toxic producer K Venkat Narayana.
At Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, Yash met Dr D Veerendra Heggade, the Dharmadhikari of the temple. Heggade congratulated the actor on his contribution to the film industry and blessed him for continued success. Yash was also honoured with a shawl and memento on behalf of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.
The actor subsequently had darshan of Sri Manjunatha Swamy and performed special puja. He also had lunch at the Sri Sannidhi guest house before leaving Dharmasthala.
A Tradition Before His Films
Yash's visit to Dharmasthala ahead of Toxic continues what has become a familiar pre-release tradition for the actor. He has previously visited the pilgrimage centre before his films' theatrical releases, seeking divine blessings before presenting his work to audiences.
The visit also generated excitement among devotees and fans. Reports said several people gathered hoping to catch a glimpse of the star as he arrived at the temple town.
Toxic Releases Worldwide On August 26
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is scheduled to release worldwide on August 26, 2026. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film marks Yash's return to the big screen after the blockbuster success of KGF: Chapter 2. It features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
The film has generated substantial pre-release buzz, with strong advance bookings reported across several markets. According to India Today, more than six lakh tickets had reportedly been sold in India by Tuesday, with advance sales crossing ₹30 crore at that stage.
Yash's Dharmasthala visit comes just hours before audiences finally get to see Toxic in theatres. After an extensive promotional campaign across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and other cities, expectations are high for the film's opening day.
