Yash's much-awaited action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has recorded a strong start at the Indian box office in its Hindi version, collecting a reported ₹112 crore net in four days. The film opened with an impressive number on Wednesday, but collections witnessed a steady decline over the following three days.
According to the latest trade figures, Toxic collected ₹54.50 crore on Wednesday, followed by ₹24.50 crore on Thursday, ₹19 crore on Friday and ₹14 crore on Saturday. The four-day total stands at ₹112 crore net, according to the figures shared for the Hindi version's India business.
Toxic Day-Wise Box Office Collection
Day India Net Collection
- Wednesday - ₹54.50 crore
- Thursday - ₹24.50 crore
- Friday - ₹19 crore
- Saturday - ₹14 crore
- Total - ₹112 crore
Strong Opening on Wednesday
Toxic registered its best performance on Wednesday, collecting ₹54.50 crore. The opening coincided with the Onam holiday, which provided a significant boost to theatrical footfall.
The strong first-day performance reflected the considerable anticipation surrounding Yash's return to the big screen after the success of KGF: Chapter 2. The film also generated considerable interest because of its large-scale production and international presentation.
Collections Decline After Opening Day
Despite the excellent opening, the film experienced a significant drop on Thursday. Collections fell to ₹24.50 crore before declining further to ₹19 crore on Friday.
Friday also coincided with Raksha Bandhan, a major holiday in several parts of India. However, the Hindi version did not witness a substantial holiday boost, with collections falling below Thursday's figure.
Saturday's reported collection of ₹14 crore indicates another decline. The lack of a strong Saturday jump could become important for the film's overall weekend performance.
Toxic Box Office: What Happens Next?
Crossing ₹100 crore within four days is a significant milestone, but the film's next few days will be crucial. A strong Sunday could help stabilise the run, while sustained weekday collections will determine whether Toxic can achieve a major milestone in the Hindi market.
It is important to note that box-office figures can vary between trade trackers, and the ₹112 crore figure represents the reported India net collection for the Hindi version.
As more official figures emerge, the film's overall theatrical performance will become clearer. For now, Toxic has made a powerful start with ₹112 crore in four days, led by its ₹54.50 crore opening day.
