Kantara 2: Rishab Shetty Urges Fans to Follow 3 Sacred Rules Inside Cinemas

With Kantara: Chapter 1 set to release on October 2, actor-director Rishab Shetty has issued a heartfelt appeal to audiences—asking them to treat the film not just as entertainment, but as a spiritual experience. In a recent media interaction, Shetty clarified that Kantara 2 is deeply rooted in divine folklore and ancestral rituals, and therefore demands a certain decorum inside theatres.

The 3 Rules Rishab Shetty Wants Viewers to Follow

  1. No Whistling or Cheering During Ritual Scenes
Shetty emphasized that scenes depicting Daiva Nartana, Bhuta Kola, and divine possession must be watched in silence and reverence. “These are not cinematic stunts—they are sacred traditions,” he said.
  2. No Mobile Usage or Flash Photography
The director requested audiences to switch off phones and avoid recording any part of the film, especially scenes involving spiritual invocations. “It’s not just about piracy—it’s about respect,” he added.
  3. No Eating or Distracting Behavior During Key Sequences
Viewers are urged to refrain from consuming snacks or engaging in casual chatter during emotionally intense or ritualistic moments. “Let the theatre become a temple for those few minutes,” Shetty said.
