One of the biggest attractions at Xiaomi’s IFA showcase is the Xiaomi 18 Fold, the company’s upcoming book-style foldable smartphone. The device is the first Xiaomi flagship confirmed to use the company’s next-generation XRing O3 in-house processor.

The phone was displayed in a striking red finish and features a wide foldable design with a triple-camera system. Xiaomi has also confirmed that it will use next-generation LPDDR6 memory, highlighting the company’s growing ambitions to develop more of its own semiconductor technology.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold is scheduled to launch in China on September 7, 2026, where Xiaomi is expected to reveal additional specifications, pricing and availability details.

Xiaomi’s IFA presentation goes far beyond a new smartphone. The company is positioning artificial intelligence as the foundation connecting its devices, vehicles and smart-home products.

Its showcase includes AI technologies such as MiMo-V2.5-Pro, Xiaomi Miloco and Xiaomi Miclaw, alongside its HyperOS platform. The company is demonstrating how AI can coordinate smartphones, household appliances and vehicles to create more connected everyday experiences.

Xiaomi also demonstrated CyberOne, its humanoid robot, as part of its broader investment in robotics and intelligent manufacturing. The company is increasingly integrating AI into its factories as it explores practical industrial applications for humanoid robots.
