With just hours left for the theatrical release of Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, the makers have issued a special appeal to audiences: do not record scenes inside theatres or post clips and spoilers on social media.
Produced by KVN Productions and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is scheduled to release worldwide on August 26, 2026. The film marks Yash’s return to theatres following the blockbuster success of KGF: Chapter 2.
Team Toxic Issues Special Request
The production house shared a statement titled “A Note from Team Toxic”, explaining that years of effort had gone into creating the film and that the team wanted audiences to experience it as intended—on the big screen.
The makers specifically requested fans not to record scenes during theatrical screenings, upload them to social media or reveal important story beats and spoilers. They also appealed to audiences to allow other moviegoers to experience the film without knowing its major twists or key moments.
The appeal comes as anticipation for Toxic reaches a peak, with advance bookings showing strong demand across several markets.
Yash’s Much-Awaited Comeback
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is one of the most anticipated Indian films of 2026. Yash leads the film in a gangster drama that also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.
The film has received an A certificate from the CBFC and reportedly has a runtime of more than three hours.
Strong Advance Booking
The makers' spoiler warning comes amid an impressive pre-release response. Toxic has reportedly crossed ₹40 crore in advance bookings, including blocked seats, with more than one million tickets sold before its theatrical release.
The film has also received legal protection from a Bengaluru court against the circulation of alleged false and defamatory content online ahead of its release.
