Milky Mist IPO Listing Date: GMP Signals 14% Gain, Expected Listing Price Rs 160
The Milky Mist Dairy Food IPO is set to make its stock market debut on August 18, 2026, with investors closely tracking the latest grey market premium (GMP) for an indication of its potential listing performance. According to the latest market data reported on August 17, the IPO's GMP stood at Rs 20 per share, suggesting an estimated listing price of around Rs 160, compared with the upper issue price of Rs 140. This indicates a potential listing premium of approximately 14.29%.
The company launched its public issue with a price band of Rs 133 to Rs 140 per share. Based on the latest GMP, investors could see a potential gain of around Rs 20 per share at listing if the grey-market indication translates into actual market performance. However, GMP is unofficial and speculative, and the actual listing price can differ significantly depending on market conditions, investor sentiment and demand on the debut day.
Milky Mist Dairy Food witnessed strong investor interest during the IPO bidding period. The issue was subscribed 56.12 times by the end of the third and final bidding day on August 13. Qualified Institutional Buyers subscribed to their portion 155.83 times, while the Non-Institutional Investors category was subscribed 34.91 times. Retail investors subscribed 8.41 times, reflecting broad participation across investor categories.
The company's share allotment was finalised on August 14, and successful applicants are now awaiting the listing on both the BSE and NSE on August 18. The Rs 1,553-crore IPO consists of a fresh issue of 10.2 crore shares worth Rs 1,428 crore and an offer for sale of 89.28 lakh shares valued at Rs 125 crore. The minimum retail application was for 107 shares, requiring an investment of Rs 14,980 at the upper price band.
Milky Mist's financial performance has also contributed to investor interest. For FY26, the company reported total income of Rs 3,145.01 crore, up from Rs 2,354.79 crore in FY25. Profit after tax increased sharply to Rs 127.01 crore from Rs 46.07 crore, while EBITDA rose to Rs 435.22 crore from Rs 310.35 crore.
The company plans to use proceeds from the fresh issue for several purposes, including repayment or pre-payment of borrowings, expansion of manufacturing facilities, deployment of coolers and freezers, and general corporate requirements. Milky Mist operates in the packaged dairy and food segment, offering products such as paneer, cheese, curd, butter, ghee, yoghurt, ice cream and ready-to-cook products.
With the listing scheduled for August 18, all eyes are now on the opening price and subsequent trading performance. While the current GMP points to a potential 14% listing gain, investors should remember that grey-market premiums are not official indicators and do not guarantee returns. Market participants should consider the company's fundamentals, valuations and broader market conditions before making investment decisions
