Rutuja Junnarkar was born in a middle-class Marathi family in Pune. She was inclined towards dance from a very young age and started learning dance at the age of 6. Rutuja has received training in different dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Western, and Folk Dance. She has also learnt the basics of Latin dance. Rutuja started her career in 2018 by participating in the dance reality show “Dance Maharashtra Dance.” Subsequently, she participated in reality shows like “India’s Dancing Superstar,” “Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega,” and “Dholkichya Talavar.” She was one of the finalists in Zee5’s dance reality show “High Fever…Dance Ka Naya Tevar.” In 2020, she became one of the top 12 contestants in the dance reality show “India’s Best Dancer.” In an interview, Junnarkar shared that she wanted to dance like Madhuri Dixit. Rutuja is an ardent follower of Lord Ganesha.
